Stop Fighting Your Battles Alone (Let God Join You)

In this introspective piece, Rania Naim it shows a quiet awareness that letting go can carry more power than holding on to frustration. In Finding God Every Day, Rebecca Simon expands on that same truth, exploring how letting go of control and embracing patience allows God to transform obstacles into divine ordinances.

Sometimes when we feel that we have been cheated or wronged by others, our instinct is to fight back, get revenge or make things right. It happens to almost everyone, in all walks of life. We are born to try to fight against all kinds of injustice, at work, in our relationships, with our friends and our families because we think that we are in control, we think that if we don’t take things into our own hands, we will lose. The desire to save ourselves can ignite a fire within us, driving us to act out of fear and anger, not out of wisdom and clarity.

But the truth is that God’s understanding of justice will forever surpass ours because he knows full well the extent of it and he is the only one who can bring the justice that is truly deserved. You see the big picture. God is the only one who can control the things we cannot control.

When control passes out of your hands, let faith take its place— there is more encouragement here.

He is the only one who knows how to find solutions when everything fails because we can try to plan and fight, but in the end we may not get what we want. We may still be mistreated and deceived and hurt. We may not solve all our problems and instead of feeling victorious, we end up stuck.

I have seen it in my life many times, every time I leave a bad job, toxic relationship or unhealthy friendship, something better always follows. There is always a better opportunity around the corner or someone who knows how to love you well or a community that feels like home. You won’t even remember what it’s like to be wronged or misunderstood because God has taken care of you. God took care of you youand what felt like your greatest loss was the very thing that made way for something greater.

Let yourself believe that something big is on the way – you can check out that prospect here.

What I do know is that if God decides to intervene, you won’t have to lift a finger. It’s as if by magic everything starts to turn in your favor, and all the nights you spend feeling the pain of those who wronged you, the people who made you feel small, or the times you felt like the world was a wrong place, the hardships you had to endure because someone decided not to give you a fair chance, everything somehow works out. It’s like you’re planning your comeback that leaves you in awe of how you handled what you couldn’t.

This is the grace of God, which is why he asks us to have faith in him and to be patient as we fight the biggest battles for us. That’s why he tells us to believe because although we can’t see his plans, we know that they will bring us great rewards.

When we choose to offer our ‘vengeance’ or our ‘justice’ to God, we not only free ourselves from the emotional burden of fighting those battles, but also open the door to God’s perfect timing and His unfolding plan. Although it may not always arrive at the time we want or in the way we expected, but in the end, the result will give us the peace of mind we have longed for.

The ending may surprise you, but it will settle your heart – stay with this message here.

Let this be a reminder that you don’t have to fight every battle, you don’t have to deal with people who have sinned because God has covered it for us. He will fight for you, and you will be there front and center, watching your justice be served, without lifting a finger.
