Araneta City presents a Chinese New Year program
A lot of Chinese celebrations are planned at the malls of Araneta City on Feb. 17, entitled “Gallop in Prosperity.” Another event is the Prosperity Event at Quantum Skyview, Gateway Mall 2, with a cultural show by acrobats and dragon dancers at 2:30 pm to attract good luck. Photobooths are available so shoppers can capture the memorable experience. Over at the Farmers Plaza Activity Area, a mini-Chinatown will be set up, with impressive lanterns, oriental lanterns, a horoscope display, and fortune-telling card readers. Finally, there will be dragon and lion dances at Gateway Mall 1 and 2, Quantum Skyview at Gateway Mall 2, Farmers Plaza, and Farmers Market and Farmers Garden. Selina’s songs coming to the Philippines next month
Drama with a MUSICAL THEME Selina’s songs will hit Philippine cinemas starting March 18. Selina’s songs stars Mica Javier and Rachel Coates as Selina and Maya, musical partners whose music is broken by the unforgiving nature of the industry they wish to overcome together. YouTube icon Markiplier brings a horror film
It’s a horror movie The Iron Lungdirected and produced by Mark Fischbach (known online as Markiplier), comes to Philippine cinemas on Feb. 25. It’s an adaptation of the cult indie horror game of the same name, which gained a huge following for its claustrophobic setting, unconventional storytelling, and deeply unsettling premise. The story follows a prisoner sent on a dangerous mission to explore the empty moon. In the film, Markiplier plays a prisoner, named Simon, who is burned in a rusty submarine. Set in a post-apocalyptic future after an event known as the “Silent Rapture,” which caused all known stars and habitable planets to disappear, Simon must navigate a sea of blood on an empty moon.
