Let Christ Define You, Not the World Around You

Today, I realized my true worth again.

Not because a friend complimented me, or some guy tried to date me on Facebook, or someone called me cute, or someone from Twitter told me they liked my writing – NO.

I found my true worth in a place I almost forgot.

Most of the time, we look to retail outlets to see our true worth. It cannot be avoided. We want someone to help us and give us the things we think we “deserve”, we chase the people we think we’re the best we have, we work harder than anyone we know just to climb the ladder of success, we risk our lives to achieve as much as we can, as fast as possible, we want to look good, feel good and be the best version of ourselves – don’t get me wrong about all of this. But if this becomes the only purpose of our life and becomes the main goal, if we hold on to this idea, without ceasing. The result is, we wake up every day of our lives, we live for these things but we still feel tired and exhausted.

And when all is said and done, we still feel like nothing.

When you search that’s where your value really lies. Read here.

How come we still feel worthless? Maybe because we try to look for our worth in all the wrong places. We look at a man who thinks that a love relationship will define us, or a job in the hope that the job will somehow fill this hole inside us, or a bank account, we think that every penny will somehow bring happiness that can alleviate the emptiness of our souls, or a mirror, we feel too confident in ourselves, we think that we are superior, we can do this or that, we think that we should only look up, and look up only to God. explain to us.

Sometimes we don’t see the true value we have in Christ.

We willingly desire things outside of Jesus and let these things define us. We let the world and its values define what we are or should be.

We let our work, love life, background or wealth, consume us, consume it all. Little by little, we began to live for other things, thinking they were more important than Christ.

When you rediscover what really matters, check here.

These things become number one in our lives and Jesus becomes the side dish. We allow Jesus to be the principle we examine on Sunday and during the week, we live for these things tirelessly in pursuit of defining our true worth.

But the thing is, if we don’t know the wealth we have in Christ, we will always compare ourselves to others thinking that they are not enough; we will always chase worldly things, thinking that we have little, that we are not enough, that we are poor. We will only run and get tired – without getting anything important. I mean, what is our standard, anyway? If it’s the world, yes – we’re small. But if it is Jesus, then we are enough.

The truth is: we are complete and rich in Jesus. We are the winners.

Christ is the only one who can completely define us.

The way we look at Christ affects the way we live, His importance in our lives affects the way we see things. We need to see a BIG Jesus in our lives. CHRIST ABOVE ALL. Nothing more, nothing less.

So, to all who are struggling with their true value, let me tell you this: You are most important, not to the world, but only and only to Christ.

Realize how important and precious you are to Him. That your situation, your money, your work, your days will never change your value. You can’t let these things define you.

Today, I choose to be defined in Christ. I may be weak and somehow lost, but He found me. He did so.

I hope with all my heart, that no matter how hard it is, you will once again choose to be defined by Christ and His unconditional love for you. Not by the labels of this world that stick to your soul, not by the customs, not by the way people treat you – but only in Christ.

A gentle reminder of who you are to Him. Pause here for a soft word.

You are His child. You have been chosen. You are beautiful. You are loved. And most of all, you have a lot of value. Don’t forget that.
