Tech Moves: Zillow CPO Names; AWS leader retires; Microsoft hires AI expert from Apple

The Zillow Group announced three promotions to the senior leadership team.
- After nearly two decades with Zillow, Christopher Roberts he is now chief product officer. Roberts helped build Zillow Rentals, which the company touts as the No. 1 platform among renters. His Seattle tech career began at Expedia as senior vice president of engineering.
- Jon Lim from VP of product management to SVP of Product Leasing & Corporate Operations. Prior to Zillow, Lim worked in technical product management roles at Amazon for over five years.
- Marissa Brooks now SVP of corporate affairs, previously served as VP of communications. Brooks, who works in Scottsdale, Ariz., joined Zillow in 2017.
Earlier this month, Zillow reported that revenue grew 16% last year. Revenue for the quarter, which came in at $654 million, was at the high end of Zillow’s guidance and slightly above investors’ expectations.

– Jeffrey Kratz he retires Amazon Web Services after more than 13 years. He is leaving the position of vice president of Worldwide Public Sector Industry sales international. Throughout his time at AWS, Kratz has worked with public sector clients, whom he described on LinkedIn as “making the world a better place.”
Kratz was previously employed by crosstown rival Microsoft for two decades where he held various leadership roles in corporate sales and the public sector.
“Now it’s time to recharge, take Luna-the-pup on a vacation, spend quality time with Beverly, Andrew, family and friends,” Kratz wrote, adding that he will work on his golf swing, volunteer and “spend more time with Boards in the places I love.”
– In another Amazon from the, David Luanwho led the San Francisco-based company’s AGI Lab and oversees one of its most important AI projects, is leaving for an undisclosed new gig. Luan announced his departure on LinkedIn, saying he would be leaving at the end of the week. He joined Amazon in a leadership-directed hiring deal at Adept startup. – Microsoft you are caught Manasa Hari from Apple to join its California-based AI Super Intelligence program as a partner.
“I will be supporting building an infrastructure for human-centered AI systems that are safe, useful, and responsive to people’s needs. Inspired by Mustafa Suleyman’s mission to build human-empowering AI, I am excited about its broad impact on business,” Hari said on LinkedIn.
Hari was previously head of product and program at Apple’s AIML Machine Learning Platform. He also serves on San Francisco State University’s Big Data Advisory Board, providing input on academic curricula.
– Craig Cincotta he has moved to the personnel manager to Microsoft’s Xbox separation. He was previously general manager of cloud and AI communications. Cincotta has been with the Redmond, Wash.-tech giant for more than 17 years in two employment roles.
The company last week announced that Asha Sharma is taking over the reins of Xbox and Microsoft Gaming, succeeding 38-year Microsoft veteran Phil Spencer. Cincotta and Sharma previously worked together at the Seattle-based Porch.

– Julie Keef is leaving his role as VP of product Redfina Seattle real estate platform that was acquired about a year ago by Rocket Companies. Keef joined Redfin in 2016 as the first hire in what would become the company’s content marketing team. He was promoted seven times to his VP position where he oversaw a team of 50.
“We grew Redfin to the 3rd most visited place for real estate, and we held on to that place despite competitors outnumbering us 5 to 1 in technology and advertising. And we had fun doing it. Even when the real estate market turned around and investment was hard to come by, Redfin’s squirrel spirit continued,” said Keef on LinkedIn.
Keef did not disclose his next pursuit.

– Seattle DexCareso called Ravi Doddivipallas a chief technology officer. Doddivaripall joins the company from XY Retail and has over 25 years of senior platform and engineering experience. He is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
DexCare’s software platform helps healthcare providers manage their system capacity and schedule appointments. Initially launched in Providence, it is emerging from the group’s digital health care network innovation in 2021.
“Ravi brings the depth of architecture and platform experience to accelerate what we’ve built to help more health systems treat more patients with the resources they already have,” said Matt Blosl, CEO of DexCare, in a statement.

– Kelly Brooks now VP of sales Learn AIa Seattle startup that sells business productivity software tools using productivity AI. Brooks joins from HubSpot where he worked for nearly nine years.
On LinkedIn, Brooks said he was attracted to the company after using its technology.
“I saw the immediate value of product testing, and I was excited by the ways Read improves the transfer and access of information across organizations — constant challenges I faced as Chief of Staff at HubSpot,” Brooks wrote. “I was inspired, I reached out [CEO] David Shim makes the connection. The rest is history… or at least a story for another day :)”
– Serial entrepreneur and ShiftAI podcast host You know Ashkenazy he is now the senior director of AI infrastructure for Redaptan IT company from Woodinville, Wash.
Ashkenazy is also the co-founder of the technology startup Clause and the founder and CEO of Augmented AI Labs, which builds and tests AI products. Ashkenazy also served on the board of trustees of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.

– Jerome Johnson has a new leadership role in Amazon Web Servicesserving as director of its professional services business for US federal, defense and aerospace clients. Johnson, who is based in Arlington, Virginia, has been with AWS for more than 12 years. His previous role was director of solutions development for national security and defense clients.
“Although my focus has moved from architecture leadership to business leadership and delivery, the mission remains the same: To serve customers by helping them solve their toughest problems with AWS,” Johnson wrote on LinkedIn.
– Jill Angelo he is the new chairman of the board Special Olympics in Washington. Angelo is the founder and former CEO of Gennev, a company billed as the first menopause care provider in the US The business was acquired by Unified Women’s Healthcare, where she served as president until last year.
Angelo is also currently the VP of women’s health and business partnerships at health startup Oura.
– Frieda Chan he left his role as director of innovation development at the University of Washington’s CoMotion, a collaborative entrepreneurship center. Chan is now director of business development at Yale Ventures.
