Tech Moves: Ex-Oracle SVP joins Qualtrics as CEO; Microsoft’s chief accessibility officer is taking on a new role

Experience the management software giant Qualtrics on a so-called Tuesday Jason Maynard as the new CEO. Maynard previously spent ten years at Oracle, where he was senior vice president of revenue operations.

“I have spent 30 years in business software; as an inventor, as an analyst on Wall Street, and as a practitioner helping to grow large businesses,” Maynard wrote in a blog post. “I’ve had a front seat to some of the biggest changes in our industry, and right now we’re among the hundreds I’ve seen.”

Maynard replaces former Qualtrics CEO Zig Serafin, who stepped down as CEO in October. He is still the vice chairman.

Qualtrics, based in Provo, Utah, and Seattle, helps companies collect data and improve the experience and interactions customers, employees, and others have with their products and services. Once publicly traded, Qualtrics was acquired by Silver Lake and the Canada Pension Pan Investment Board in a private equity deal in 2023. The company has a pending $6.75 billion deal to acquire Press Ganey Forsta.

Jenny Lay-Flurrie takes on a new role in the Microsoftfrom chief accessibility officer to head of the company’s Trusted Technology Group. Lay-Flurrie held her previous role for ten years, leading the company’s efforts in accessibility and disability inclusion, and has been with Microsoft since 2005.

“In every role, one goal has stuck to me: – do the right thing,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “I am humbled and excited to take on this next challenge, to live true to that north star. Don’t worry, I will continue to be deeply involved with my beloved accessibility community, while learning more from the other passionate communities I am honored to lead.”

Microsoft CVP Teresa Hutson previously led the Trusted Technology Group, which focused on privacy, security, governance, responsible use of AI, and other related topics.

– Former Nintex manager Amit Mathradas began his new role as CEO of Five 9a Bay Area customer experience software company. Mathradas led Bellevue-based Nintex for three years and was previously COO at Avalara.

Michelle Flandreau expanded his role at Holland America Line and is now vice president of marketing and e-commerce. Flandreau joined the cruise giant last year and previously held marketing leadership roles at Expedia, Tommy Bahama, LiquidPlanner, and Guidant Financial.

Amir Moftkharformer CFO at Modern Hydrogen, now CFO at AMPa Colorado-based climate technology company. Moftakhar joined Modern Hydrogen in 2023. The Seattle company recently laid off most of its employees.

– Seattle-based cleantech non-profit VertueLab the employee Chris Licciardelo as relationships and alliances lead Washington state and named Leo Ochoa in the same role leading Oregon’s efforts. It also hired Jasmine Smith as its program director in Oregon.

– Seattle-based edtech company Gravyty added two execs: Previous TalkingPoints and Instructure exec Matt Carlson as chief sales officer and former CFO of Uptempo Ashley Jones Lee as chief financial officer. Gravyty, which started in Boston and raised money from K1 Investment Management, merged with Ivy.ai and Ocelot last year.

– The beginning of Seattle Iodine the employee Alan Camperson as its new head of global customer support. Camperson was previously director of technical support at Salesloft. Yoodli, which recently raised $40 million, also hired Meg Cory as a field marketing manager and Courtney Perry as a business account manager.

Alexander Rublovskysales executive for the Seattle area, joined the Northwest Quantum Nexus group as a business development consultant.
