CAPRICORN
Capricorn is a doomsday planner. The present time is equivalent to the grandparents who bought mattresses and drapes with money in case the banks closed. They always check and save for emergency funds and stocks. Food, water, toiletries, you name it. There is always more of everything you might need, because they are always waiting for the day when it will not be available. While organization and preparation are commendable, the degree to which Capricorn anticipates future struggles does more harm than good. They live under more stress than they need to be able to, frankly. No matter how much effort they put in, it never feels like enough. There is never a sense that disasters can be contained because of the safety nets they have built for themselves. This week it’s good to ask how much effort is worth it if Capricorn’s quality of life doesn’t improve because of this.
SAGITTARIUS
Sagittarius is always ready to jump ship. They are always ready to initiate a breakup, give two weeks’ notice, or wipe the entire slate of their lives to start over. A small mistake, a bump in the road, a slip, or a blockage can throw off all the work. They would rather leave it altogether than make an effort to solve problems, fix it, or push themselves to see the job through to the finish line. This is the source of their short pastimes and short lives. Kneeling to get up and walk away from the piano after the first wrong note is played. They don’t realize how much effort and hard work and practice it takes to reach the heights they desire. How many mispronounced words and mistranslated verbs must leave your lips before a foreign language becomes second nature. Before they get close, the baby has already been thrown out with the bathwater.
SCORPIO
Scorpio turns every aspect of their life into a game of chess. They are waiting to be attacked while trying to increase their position all the time. They persevere over every possible combination of moves, reducing everything to a mere algorithm, a series of choices that follow a prescribed pattern of choices. If this, then that; if that, then this. And it goes on until, finally, someone decides the ‘winner’. If Scorpio never breaks from this way of looking at life, they will always be in a bad situation. They will always play as black, one step behind their opponent, always needing to respond to the previous move. They will never have the freedom to make their own way, set their own tempo, agenda, or style. They will be so clingy in their quest to go unbeaten, they will never be able to enjoy the act of winning.
TAURUS
Taurus is the perfect person, the bride. A person’s life is ruined when the smallest details are not exactly as they imagined or desired. They keep asking and checking and triple-checking, to the extreme that begs the question, “are you deliberately setting everyone up for failure?” They’re the kind whose home becomes more of a museum than anything close to living in, because the little tail destroys their most precious possessions. As a result, everything in their lives becomes so rigid and rigid and secure that there is no room for learning and growing in the way that flawed people need. It is impossible to live our lives in a plastic bubble. A pure act in its box can be worth hundreds or thousands to the right collector, but what, if anything, would you do with that box? The product itself is used as useless for anything other than display.
