CANCER
Cancer falls in love slowly because they want consistency in a partner above all else, and it’s one of the few qualities that really needs to be proven over time. Consistency is not doing the same thing several times. That could be chance, or luck, or some motivation. Most people would work or take out the trash every day if they were paid to do so. Leo has trouble putting a partner first, especially when he’s young. They are swept into the infatuation stage because it is easy to find someone. When one person disappoints, there is always a new one to be attracted. They can tend to do their rounds in apps as opposed to really laying down a foundation and planting roots with someone. It is because they have been disappointed that they focus on the temporary high that a new love can provide, but because they are afraid of getting hurt, they do not go beyond the surface connection and enter into a very serious bond. They hesitate to put romance above friends, work, and other commitments, which means they need more time to build a quality connection. When they log enough hours of meaningful conversation, that’s when they begin to see the future in all its possibilities.

The number of people who say, “I love you” is very limited. They may have liked more people than they say because they were stuck in their holding pattern. Their biggest fear is that they have to take those words back, look back on the relationship and realize that they weren’t meant for them, that the feelings were misplaced or insincere.
