5 Reasons It Won’t Matter If West and Ciara From Summer House Were Never ‘Officially Made’
Several Summer House fans are defending West Wilson’s situation with Amanda Batula, citing the fact that West has never “officially dated” Amanda’s friend, Ciara Miller. However, there are many reasons why this situation is bad, even if Ciara and West have never dated or kissed. Here are 5 reasons why.
1) If this friend of yours is hung up on a boy, he is off limits.
On the other hand, it may be perfectly fine to date a friend’s ex-husband of ten years. It depends on how your friend feels about it. The rules are very simple: if you care about your friend, you don’t want to hurt him.
2) West and Amanda lied and attacked Ciara and Kyle about their affair.
If West and Amanda had the idea that it’s weird to care about your best friend sleeping with your ex, they wouldn’t hide their relationship from all their friends. They would just talk and be shocked that Ciara and Kyle were upset. Hiding what they were doing and lying about it for so long shows that they knew it was wrong.
Regardless, lying and gaslighting is wrong. It is especially wrong to do it to people you are very close to.
3) West could have easily clarified things with Ciara to avoid all this hurt.
I don’t buy that West didn’t care about Ciara. First of all, West himself says that this is not true and that he deeply cares for her.
Second, cross-border communication is easy (NOT HARD) if you don’t care too much about the other person. If West didn’t care about Ciara, it would have been easy for him to tell her that. The reason why West didn’t tell Ciara that he didn’t want to date her was because he cared about her a lot that he didn’t want to lose her. Because Ciara had made it clear that she just wanted to date seriously, West chose to lie to her to keep her close.
If West didn’t care about Ciara, he wouldn’t see fit to lie to keep her around.
4) West betrayed his best friend Kyle.
It’s inevitable to go after your partner’s missus a few weeks after announcing their divorce.
The best-case timeline is that West and Amanda first connected WEEKS after she announced her split from her husband, Kyle, on January 19. In February, Amanda told Marie Claire that when she came out in November, she and Kyle still thought they were going to reconcile until a few days before they announced their split. They were still devoted to each other and (supposedly) monogamous at this time.
5) West was in an exclusive relationship when this all went down.
In a clip released from the reunion, Kyle says he has proof that West has been in an exclusive relationship since February 2025. The women in question wrote about being blindsided by West’s joint statement announcing his relationship with Amanda. It is reported that this is how he discovered that he was not actually in a special relationship with the West.
