Not All God Sends Are Meant To Last—Here’s Why

People always say that you can’t really explain why you feel a certain way about someone. Why do you click with some people more than others or why do you just feel connected to a stranger. I feel like God is bringing us closer to certain people because they are the people we need in our lives right now. These are the people who will teach us important lessons about life or about us.

There is a reason why God moves your heart to a certain person and a reason why you bond with certain people more than others. Looking back, there wasn’t a single person I got really close to who didn’t have something important to teach me or who didn’t play a big role in my life. And the irony is that most of these people were like that temporarily because their job was to show me another way and release me.

Some people come to teach, not to stay – find soft clarity here.

Sometimes the stage of your life determines what kind of people you attract and I think that’s the beauty of faith, God sends you the people you need at the right time. Giving you the answers you were looking for with these people. He enlightens you by bringing you closer to people who bring out the best in you. He helps you when you are struggling by bringing you closer to those who know how to bring you out of your darkness.

It’s just that sometimes we try to change these temporary people into permanent people but that is not their role. They are not meant to stay in our lives forever. God called them to be there for us just for a little while. God called them to be in our lives to make us better for those who were meant to live forever.

The problem is that we get frustrated when these people leave because we cannot let them go. We don’t understand why God would take something so beautiful or a person who gave us life but if you imagine that if these people overestimate their acceptance, their beauty will disappear, their love will die, their story will no longer be an inspiration and it will become a burden that we don’t deserve to carry, everything will start to make sense.

When something good is taken away – hold on to hope. Read more here.

The essence of letting go is FAITH. Believing that this matter is better left as it is. It is better to leave it as God wrote it. Maybe rewriting it will ruin the story. Maybe changing it won’t give you a good ending. Maybe these people are angels sent to you to teach you a lesson or heal you or make you a better person and when their time is up, they fly away. They are meant to be placed in someone else’s life.

Maybe these people also teach you how to let go, how to separate, how to recognize when someone’s part of your story is over and have faith that the next person God brings you to is the one you need, even if you don’t know it yet.

Because I know that the day we meet someone who is meant to stay forever, we will be able to see him from a mile away, we will see him in a room full of people because we finally understand the difference between the person who touches our hand and the person who touches our soul.
