Desantis Just Added Antifa to Florida Terrorist List Along with CAIR, Muslim Brotherhood, and Mexican Cartels

The list is not over. DeSantis still needs the Florida Cabinet to sign off before any of the more than 90 groups can be officially listed as terrorist organizations under state law.
HB 1471 went into effect on Wednesday, and Florida moved to implement it on the same day. The law allows the head of state to flag domestic security groups as domestic or foreign terrorist organizations, with the governor and Cabinet voting to approve or reject each before it is published.
The Muslim rights group, CAIR, says it will fight his nomination to the court, saying he has never been charged or convicted and that his representation is protected by the First Amendment. The ACLU is representing CAIR and CAIR-Florida, calling the measure “bad and unrealistic.”
The government list also names the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Mexican cartels including the Cartel de Sinaloa and Tren de Aragua. The Florida designation carries state penalties, including criminal charges for knowingly providing significant support to a listed group, but is different from the terrorist designation, which can only be issued by the US State Department.
