Which Mythical Creature You Were In Another Lifetime (Based On Your Zodiac Sign)

Ancient Greek creatures have long been a source of human fascination.

Maybe it’s because we all have a few mythical monsters inside of us. Each zodiac sign has certain characteristics in common with a certain ancient Greek monster. So, which mythical beast is like you?

Aries: Cyclops

Cyclops are known for having one large eye between their foreheads. This makes their energy a perfect match for Aries, as the first sign of the zodiac and ruler of the head, face, and eyes. Cyclopes are depicted as wild, lawless creatures who did not fear the Gods. Their courage makes them like the bold, energetic Aries.

Taurus: Minotaur

The Minotaur is known to have the head and tail of a bull and the body of a human. Taurus is the zodiac sign represented by the bull, which makes it clearly similar to the power of the Minotaur. The Minotaur had a strange appetite for human flesh, and the Taurus similarly has an insatiable appetite. And, like Taurus, the minotaur is known for its strength and resilience in the face of challenges.

Gemini: Cerberus

Cerberus was a ferocious three-headed dog that guarded the entrance to the Underworld. As the sign of the twins and the only zodiac with multiple figures as its sign, Gemini is a perfect match for the three-headed creature. Gemini is very logical and practical, and can be trusted to see who is going in and out of the Underworld, like Cerberus.

Cancer: Echidna

Just as Cancer is the “Mother of the Stars,” Echidna is the “Mother of Monsters.” She had the attractive face of a woman with the body of a winged reptile. Cancer magnifies and prioritizes family ties, such as Echidna, who gave birth to many famous monsters. He would drag his victims into pits and eat them alive, just as a protective cancer might do to anyone who tries to harm their loved ones.

Leo: Chimera

Leo is the sign of the lion, while the Chimera was a three-headed animal with the head and body of a lion, a tail with a snake’s head, a neck and a goat’s head sprouting from his back. He had the amazing ability to breathe fire from his mouth, just like an angry or defensive Leo with a loud roar. He was fierce and intimidating, like the charismatic, brave Leo.

Virgo: Sphinx

The Sphinx was a hybrid creature with the head of a woman, the body of a lion, and the wings of an eagle. Like Virgo, she was known for her intelligence – she would guard the doors by giving travelers a riddle and, if they couldn’t answer, she would kill and eat them. Like the Sphinx, Virgos don’t suffer fools happily, and are very intelligent and impartial.

Libra: Harpy

Harpies had the head of a woman and the body of a bird. As social Libra butterflies, they often travel in packs. As a Libra sign, Libra is very fair minded and just, while the Harpies are punishing creatures sent to torment those who anger the gods.

Scorpio: Medusa

Medusa was once a beautiful princess who was turned into a monster after falling in love with Poseidon. As the most seductive sign of the zodiac, Scorpio fits well with the teachings of Medusa. He had live snakes for hair, and could turn anyone who looked at him to stone – like a vengeful Scorpio he would punish anyone who fell for them.

Sagittarius: The Centaur

Sagittarius is represented by the archer, a Centaur with the head and upper body of a man and the lower body of a horse, holding a bow and arrow. This naturally makes the Centaur a perfect match for the Sagittarius zodiac sign. Centaurs are depicted as wild, lawless, and wild, as is the loving, free-spirited Sagittarius.

Capricorn: Typhon

Just as Capricorn is the “Father of the Stars,” Typhon was the “Father of all monsters.” He is considered the deadliest and most powerful creature in Greek mythology, and once attacked even the Olympian gods. It’s easy to imagine an ambitious, motivated, passionate Capricorn leading the charge against a formidable opponent.

Aquarius: Pegasus

Pegasus was a winged white stallion, born from Medusa’s neck when she was beheaded by Perseus. He ascended to heaven and was used by Zeus to bring thunder and lightning from Olympus. Similar to Pegasus, Aquarius is the astrological sign of the water bearer, who was responsible for bringing the water of life to their community. Aquarians are also rare and beautiful spirits, like Pegasus.

Pisces: Hydra

The Hydra was a snake-like water monster that lived in the lake of Lerna, the entrance to the Underworld. As a water sign at the extremes of earth and air, Pisces is a perfect match for Hydra’s energy. This mythical monster had the power to regenerate: every time its head was cut off, two more would grow in its place. Pisces people are healing and old souls, matching the resilience and restorative power of Hydra.
