Most of us, when we see red flags in our partners, tend to run – but whether we run away or walk away from a relationship depends on many factors, including our zodiac signs.
Some stars see red flags and, instead of recognizing them for the warning signs they are, picture them as a bouquet of love instead. Here are the star signs that ignore red flags, and how astrology explains their tendency to ignore negative qualities in a partner.
Cancer
Cancer is one of the sweetest signs of the zodiac – that’s why they tend to attract deceitful and toxic lovers. Cancer is kind and compassionate, which some people consider weak. They are also very secretive and mysterious, which can be confused with humility or even stupidity. It’s easy to see why Cancers might attract the wrong partners, through no fault of their own. But they tend to ignore bright red flags, allowing unhealthy relationships to go on longer than they should. This is because Cancers are very loving, and love to be in love. They want comfort and stability in a relationship, so they’d rather put up with a nightmare partner than go through the nightmare (in their minds) of celibacy and finding a new one. This zodiac sign puts their partner’s mistakes in mind, choosing to ignore the red flags in order to stay in the relationship as long as possible. Cancers need to learn that being single or finding someone new isn’t as bad as they think, and it’s worlds better than being stuck in a stagnant or toxic relationship.
Virgo
Virgos are all-conscious and perfectionists, so it’s hard to imagine them missing out or ignoring red flags. The truth is, they don’t – they are more aware of the faults of their loved ones, just that they think they can “fix” them. And sometimes these flaws aren’t even real flaws, just traits that make them incompatible as a couple. There is nothing Virgos love more than a project, so they are happy to take on a partner as a “fixer-upper.” They truly believe they can change their partner’s flaws and anything they don’t like about themselves. But this almost always backfires – the partner feels constantly scrutinized and criticized, and the relationship stops feeling like an equal partnership and a great dynamic between parent and child. Virgos must learn to trust their gut and allow unsatisfactory partners to quickly start a relationship, or find someone whose “flaws” they can tolerate without trying to change them.
Libra
Libras are so charming and outgoing that they always have a line of potential partners eager to take them on a date. Although this star avoids commitment when they are single, they also stay in relationships for a long time once they have chosen a partner. Libras are optimistic and can see the good in everyone, so they tend to have red-tinted glasses when it comes to their partners. They do not see the faults of their loved ones and will not listen when others point them out. As much as they enjoy a good little gossip, they don’t like it when someone talks bad about their partner. Although they are people pleasers who avoid conflict, they will stand up for their loved ones, and become even more stubborn in relationships. Libras need to take off the rose colored lenses and face the truth, no matter how strong their feelings are. When all the signs (and others in their lives) say that their partner is not right for them, they should heed those warnings.
Pisces
Pisceans miss red flags because they create their own version of reality when in love. They are hopeless romantics who crave fairy tale love, and they will settle for nothing. That’s why it’s surprising to see that Pisceans often have toxic, messy relationships – they project their ideal type of partner onto the person they’re dating, and then get upset when that person doesn’t live up to their expectations. Pisceans let a lot of red flags go because their imaginations see red roses instead. But when something finally happens to shatter the illusion of Pisces, they will eventually leave the relationship. This zodiac needs to slow down and get to know their partners well before committing – instead of falling in love with someone with their strengths or who they want them to be, they should find out who they really are.
