Chase’s longtime boss says the fundraiser isn’t paying any of his expenses. He says that his estate has enough money to pay for everything, he asks people not to spend a single penny.
Daveigh Chase left a SAG trust account with enough money to pay for his medical care and cremation, according to John Ryan, who managed him for more than a decade and remained a close friend until his death.
That’s why Ryan is telling people to stop donating to “Help Daveigh Chase Find Comfort and Peace,” a page that has pulled in nearly $4,200 from 131 donors toward a goal of $5,500. It was started by Roy Hernandez, who claims to have been Chase’s boyfriend since 2019.

Ryan says neither his family nor his close friends know who Hernandez is. In a statement to Deadline, she said the man brought Chase to the hospital in critical condition and did not tell the family until after he died. “There are no medical expenses to be paid or funeral expenses,” said Ryan. The family reported the page to GoFundMe.
Hernandez told TMZ that claims that the campaign is illegal are “100 percent” false. He has not yet responded to specific allegations about the inheritance or when the family was told.

Chase, who voiced the name Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and played the role of Samara in The Ring, died on June 16 at the age of 35. As of this week the page is still up and collecting money.
